The essence of the cat in one sentence… Amazingly enough, I’ve never read Cormac McCarthy though ‘The Road’ has been on my ‘to read’ list forever (I ‘loved’ the Coen brothers version of No Country For Old Men — I quote that because how can one love something so disturbing…I should say it was just amazingly well done!). Which one of his would you suggest I start with?

Well I love the Borders Trilogy which The Crossing is part of – and it is a trilogy only in the loosest sense of the word. While I consider The Road one of the best written books I’ve ever read, I can’t say I ‘love’ the story. Considering Bushboy was 10 when I read it, yeah, it pretty much left me gutted.
