February Haiku

south wind blowing hard,
pushing clouds off of the sky,
cold crystal sunshine.
 
blown across the lawn
crumpled leaves catch and stop
framed in the bare branch.
 
bursts of pink below
glowing petals and green stalks
crocus under foot
