A Scarf for a Girl

Back in September Bushboy got a short notice invitation to a birthday party for a girl in his class. “Can you make her a scarf, Mum? The girls always like those.” Well, who can say no to that. So on the Friday we went to the store and Bushboy picked out the yarn. By Sunday he wrapped up the scarf, which I have spotted the recipient wearing since.

Success! I love this pattern – Helix. Short rows are somehow so satisfying. The yarn is Bernat Satin. A great go-to scarf.

  1. As a knitter there is nothing more satisfying than seeing the recipient wearing what you have made for them!

  2. I think it’s so sweet that he asked you to make her a scarf. I’ll bet she was thrilled!

  3. Awww, that is so cute! but please don’t tell BB that, guys hate cute. lol ;) I’m sure the girl LOVES her new girly girl pink scarf!! It is beautiful. And yes, it is a great pattern :)

  4. Oh what a great present. How thoughtful of Bushboy to think of such a gift too! Ros

  5. oh i love that he asked you to knit a scarf for his friend.
it turned out very lovely! and yay for spying it in action! always what a knitter wants to see!

  6. What a thoughtful gift!

Welcome! I always like to hear what people think of a post, it often leads to a great discussion! I am now responding to comments and questions right in the comments themselves, so other people can follow the conversation.
