After a slow start to summer, the season has been wonderful, and in particular September has been gorgeous. Hot sunny days followed by cool evenings, a perfect late summer. After two years of cool, damp weather, we are soaking up every bit of it!

Such a beautiful landscape. It’s funny how I cannot recall phases of weather, but can recall specific days. For instance, if you asked me what autumn was like last year or the year before I’m not sure I’d know, but I can tell you what the weather was like the day we hiked along a certain creek in February 2008.
