Feature Photo: The Power of Water

 

At every corner of the river, the evidence of high winter water shows. Here you can see where the water has washed the soft soil out from under the tree roots. I’m always amazed at how much the trees can withstand. Perhaps next year will be the year this one goes into the river.

  3. It’s incredible how trees withstand so much (abuse). I LOVE this tree’s roots, so beautiful, makes me want to draw/paint them.
