From the Photo Archives

San Josef Bay, July 2009

We are longing to get out camping, just hasn’t worked out yet – not to mention it’s awfully cold out there. Bushboy talks about camping constantly. The pull of adventure and exploration is strong. We haven’t chosen our new spot for the year, it is fun to look at where we might go next. (Of course, Ralph River will as always be our main trip of the summer.)

  1. We’ve been thinking of camping lately too. Yosemite and Point Reyes National Seashore are on our minds. Happy planning!

  2. oh i love that picture, it looks cold, but brisk and *fresh*!

i hope you all get your warm weather and sunshine SOON!!!
(i heard that we’re supposed to be cooler than normal through july, but today’s high is supposed to be 85 degF (30F) i don’t know if i’m ready for that much heat all at once!)

  3. I’ve been wanting to go camping too, but it’s far too cold for the kids. I bought a -40 bag a few weeks ago so I’D be fine! (Wimps.)

  4. Your pic reminds me of my trip to visit a dear aunt who lives in Delta, B.C. As a teenager, I would drag her to the beach, no matter what the season or weather! One time was in the middle of winter and wow! was it cold! (it was totally glorious for me though :) – coming from -30ish Alberta!

I hope the weather clears up for you soon so you all can plan another camping trip!!

  5. That picture looks cold for July! Happy planning…me, I’ll be camping most of the summer. Though slightly more stressful than vacation style! Still, it’s a bonus to the work I do and one I appreciate!

Welcome! I always like to hear what people think of a post, it often leads to a great discussion! I am now responding to comments and questions right in the comments themselves, so other people can follow the conversation.
