The Sound of Rocks

A little video to show you the sounds of the rocks on the ice yesterday.

Happy New Year everyone. May 2011 bring you all peace, contentment and adventure.

Next week I’ll talk about the last knitting projects of the year, and my word for 2011.

  1. Beautiful! Such stunning scenery too. It’s a very wet and drizzly New Year’s Day, here in the UK. Wishing you and your family a happy and peaceful 2011. It’s been lovely getting to know you over the past year. looking forward to many more BLOGGY visits in 2011. Ros

  2. wowzers, that is an extremely cool noise – if i had been there bushboy would have had some company throwing rocks!

all the best to you and yours in 2011 dear kate!!

  3. WOW!

  4. Wow–I’ve never heard anything like that before (although, since I’m female I don’t as often get the throwing rock urge!)…very cool!

I hope your weather has settled a bit…we’ve had the same thing. Came back to rain/snow and then temperatures plummeting to lows below 0 degree F the past few days. But sunshine which makes it all okay!

Happy New Year to you and your family Kate! I so look forward to spending another year reading about your thoughts and adventures!

  5. Happy New Year Kate and all of yours! Blessings for the prosperous & joyful year in 2011! Already mine’s been great, starting off with your wonderful little video of BB skipping rocks on ice. I’ve never heard this before and I must say, wow! So cool! It’s great to have an audio blog, keep ’em coming. My DH loves to skip rocks, too (maybe it’s a guy thing?). The only trouble we have is finding flat, roundish stones! All the rocks here in Kelowna are odd-shaped, not round, nor flat! But he perserveres, lol.

I look forward to more of your blog treasures! xox

  6. This brought me right back down to this beautiful earth. Love it. Thanks for the smile.

  7. lovely. I’m woefully behind on your blog, but wanted to drop a thought to say happy New Year!

  8. How cool!

Welcome! I always like to hear what people think of a post, it often leads to a great discussion! I am now responding to comments and questions right in the comments themselves, so other people can follow the conversation.
