We saw a number of buildings in Sointula that were obviously finished by the same carpenter (artist). This was our favourite – this wall is completely flat.

I think that’s called trompe l’oiel, isn’t it? Fool the eye. I love it. I’ve seen a lot of painted ones but it must take a ton of thought to put it together in wood. Amazing!
