Sapphire was our first cat, we got him the first year we moved to Ottawa. He was with us through ferrets, dogs, and new cats, as well as the arrival of Bush Boy. He died in 2005, and we still miss him. He was the best snuggler of all our cats, yet he was also the grumpiest when annoyed. He held grudges – when we went to Europe for three months and left him with my mum he refused to even sleep in the same room with us for months when we got back. Eventually he forgave us. Truly a prince among cats.

Ah, he is beautiful! So sorry about your loss. he sounded like a great cat. He’ll live on in your memories for the rest of your life.
Here’s a cuddle for you, it’s not the same as Sapphire’s snuggles, I know.
