Autumn Haiku

Rain wets the ground
Refills the waiting rivers
The forests drink deep.
Wind bangs at the door
Rattles and shakes the handle
I won’t let it in.
Red, yellow, gold, brown
Colour exploding above
Trees in party clothes.
