Go West

The last two weeks have seen us do two camping trips (I love scheduled posting). The first trip we did was to the north-west tip of Vancouver Island. We explored San Josef Bay, in Cape Scott Park, camping for three nights just outside the park. We also did some exploring a little further west, driving to Winter Harbour and hiking in to Raft Cove (serious, muddy hiking).

We stood on Raft Cove beach and were amazed at the thought that there was no more land between us and Japan, accustomed as we are to living on the east coast of the island with small islands off our shore and the mainland in the distance. We were awed by the natural beauty of the place. I am still sorting pictures on the camera, but so far these are two of my favourites.

  1. Sounds amazing…and you look so relaxed and happy in that photo! And I agree…both pictures are great!
