You’re The One

wedding day

14 years ago, we knew there were some people who shook their heads behind their hands. We were 22 (me just, you almost 23) and we walked down the grass to that gorgeous herb garden and exchanged vows while the sea lion chorus out on the lighthouse rocks drowned us out. We have stayed true to who we are, we share the same dreams and goals (well, ok, maybe I think a 48″ tv is big enough and you don’t), and we’ve done it all together.

We always camp the long week-end in May, just like we did the week-end we got married (we even still use the same packs and cooking pots that we used on our honeymoon, those fabulous three months backpacking, tenting and hitch-hiking as well as staying with family and friends in Europe).

What can I say? Somehow my 16-year-old heart knew a good thing when it found it. You are so definitely the one.
