30-Minute Challenge

Over at ScrapHappy, there are 30 minute scrapbook page challenges on Thursdays. This is my first one. This week the challenge was:

create a layout in 30 minutes or less using:

-Something that’s been in your stash for a L-O-N-G time

-A wallet-sized photo (you can use more, but at least one photo of this size)

-Your happy color!

I love these car pictures that my son took last year, and somehow this challenge made me think of them.

Layout created in 30 minutes? Check

Something in my stash a long time? The sticker letters have been in my stash for 6 years. Check (This was hard, as I don’t keep many things long, I tend to buy what I need and only have a small stash.)

Wallet size? Check

Happy Colour? I love green! Check

I drove some of my son’s cars on my black ink and then across the page — too fun. The paper comes from a giant box of decorative papers my friend got me (from C*co, I believe) for my birthday this year.

I have blocked my son’s name with that little piece of paper, and also my scanner is only 11.69 inches, so it cuts off the bottom edge. But I am very proud of myself that I finally figured out how to stitch a layout together after scanning it in two parts!

Thanks for the challenge, ScrapHappy. Just what I needed today.

Welcome! I always like to hear what people think of a post, it often leads to a great discussion! I am now responding to comments and questions right in the comments themselves, so other people can follow the conversation.
