Chika hates baths taken from the hose or tub, but loves to swim, so we use the salty ocean water as his bathing tub. He plunges in after the sticks and the water sluices over his back, washing away the dry skin underneath. He dries quickly by running along the beach, and looks at us with such satisfaction after a good beach romp. This was a sunny day in January (see the low snow on the coastal mountains across the water).
What a fickle dog! Then again, I like the water of lakes and oceans more than standing in a shower. The pup has my heart!

Now that’s the best way to take a bath that I’ve ever heard of! Chika looks like he’s loving every minute of it

It was 70 degrees here yesterday. And while wonderful, it doesn’t seem right. Rocky and I were talking and hope that none of the animals get confused and the younguns get caught in a cold snap.

Oh my! This is such a beautiful photo. Lucky Chika, having such amazing surroundings as he swims. Oscar loves to swim tto, only his regular surroundings aren’t quite so lovely
