Bush Boy learned to play chess in Grade One. He goes through times where he never plays it, and times where he asks to play it incessantly. Right now is one of the latter times. He has improved over the last few years, and although I did check mate him in three moves one match (shocked myself actually) he has check mated me more than once.
What better way to spend a Friday evening, than sitting outside in the sunshine playing a game of chess with your dad?

what an idyllic evening. these are the things he’ll look back and remember about his childhood. how wonderful.
