Another big dump of snow this week-end. Today it is sunny, a brief window before the next snowfall. Unfortunately it is hard to enjoy it outside on foot, as there are huge piles of snow everywhere, and no clear sidewalks. But we shall try!

We have no deer on our island… A few cross the ice and visit sometimes but the local dogs scare them away.

This looks like a very tiny deer! We had a rather large one eating our Arbutus tree this afternoon but when I tried to take a picture, he heard me and leapt away.
I’ve heard the north island has a LOT more snow than we do! It’s so pretty and so much fun if you don’t have to go anywhere. I’m sure your son is loving it.
